A very talented sculptor, he was a pupil of Ulisse Cambi in Florence. Author of many sculptures of busts and portraits we remember that of Vittorio Emanuele II for the hall of the Grand Council of Florence.
He exhibited in Florence in 1861, at the Permanent of Fine Arts in Turin in 1884 and at the Italian General Exposition also in Turin.
